    My car

This car was 18months old with 24,000 on the clock when we bought it. Dealer co-operation and service has been excellent so far. I reckon this is not far off being one of the best family cars around. Performance of the 1.9 diesel is gutsy, good overtaking, strong on hills and, although a bit rough at high revs, cruises smoothly at 'legal limit+'. On a recent trip from Tyneside to Gloucestershire, we averaged 52+mpg. Cabin a bit dull but comfortable, great driving position possible, loads of legroom, with everything to hand and well put together. Minor niggles...brakes are very good - too good sometimes around town! Lots of storage space but no handy little dashboard pockets or 'shelves' for change, etc.. My wife and I fight over who drives, we both love it! If you do lots of family touring you might want to consider the XL version for the bigger boot.

    My car

I have had this car from new for 11 months, 9000 miles. My first ever diesel - it took me a few weeks to adjust to this. My opinion now ? A great car. I love driving it. I am a fast driver and its performance is very good. Plenty of acceleration when needed. So comfortable, excellent road-holding - a real pleasure. Extremely good specification, and a very well-built car. Cruise control is very well designed and effective. Just love the rear parking sensors which give a clear indication of proximity. I also strongly recommend the SUPAGARD

    My car

I have had this car now for just over 12 months. Bought it new and I have been very pleased with it. I know what the other reviewer's mean when they mention boot space it is a little deceptive; you think it is bigger than it actually is! On my car the heating and ventilation does not seem up to the job, but as no one else has reported this maybee this is car specific. Other than that I think I would have ordered leather as the seat fabric seems to 'fix me in place like velcro'; another personal thing. It drives really well, is economical and spacious and represented good value for money - what more can you ask!

    My car

For no particular reason, this has been my 4th Seat in succession, and is easily the best of the bunch. It's completed 40,000 miles with no drama and a good deal of fun. My only disappointment has been that I would have liked the 2.0 TDI, which wasnt available in this trim when I bought it, but the 1.9 cruises well and economically - it just isnt the car for the traffic lights grand prix.

I cant understand why the car has fixed service intervals when its closely related bretheren have variable ones, which gives the perception of higher serving costs. I replaced all the tyres at 25,000 miles for Michelin ones, which reduced the amount of cabin noise significantly.

Likes: Shape, build quality, bluetooth kit, seats and driving position are excellent, dealer (IMG Warrington), sporty handling, fun to drive, good for motorway cruise and A roads. Dislikes: Reversing light is a joke (sensors shouldn't be an option!), wind noise, visibility is a bit poor, 1.9 engine a bit rough compared to 2.0
