    My car

A good day-to-day car, but lacks a little performance on motorway driving and can be a bit noisy at speed.

The interior is well put together, seats are comfy, unless your sit in the back in which case it is a tight fit.

Lots of toys for money - everything you could need. The dealer that suplied car hasn't rung me since day one, but the dealer who has serviced car has been very helpful.

I'd definitely buy another Seat that says it all I suppose.

    My car

I'd been looking for a replacement for my Mondeo 2.0 LX auto, for some time, as this car was getting old (R reg), and was not suitable for my current needs as my annual mileage has deceased significantly.

I came across the Leon during the search (I was considering an Ibiza at the time) and was impressed by the looks, equipment level and especially the price (It's an 03 Reg, 18 months old). Also I found 5-door Ibizas rare, but the Leon is only available in five-door.

The fit and overall feel/quality is also better than the Ibiza. I've only had it now for a few days, but it certainly grows on you.

It's far cheaper to run (tax, Insurance and mpg) and drives sharply. Acceleration from the 1400cc engine is better than I expected.

The dealer was first class (Parkstone Motor Company), giving a very fair trade-in and excellent service.

Having shown it to friends, they consistenly passed good comments and when asked what they thought it cost, averaged £2500 more than the actual price. That really adds to the feel-good factor.

Would I recomend it? Like a shot.

    My car

I have always thought that the Seat Leon was one of the finest looking cars on the road and I decided to test drive one hoping that it would drive as it looked. I was not disappointed!!

I chose the Cupra T as it looks less 'in your face' than the Cupra R and I could try and find one with leather seats (not so easy). I did find one in black and I have not regretted my decision.

It is refined, quick, handles well and oozes class. Yet it is a practical day-to-day five-door hatch. A perfect combination! I love the fact that the car is understated yet looks special, and pulling away from boy recers with their big bore exhausts etc is most satifying!!

My friend used to have an Audi A3 (older kind) with the same engine (but 4 wheel drive) and he says that the Leon is so similar (a complement indeed). If you want to feel special without appearing flash, but you haven't got a big budget, the Leon is for you (especially my model, now badged the 'FR'). You won't be disappointed!
