    My car

Toledos always seem to be underrated.

Admittedly, the rear-end styling to accommodate that extra luggage space takes a little getting used to, but if you buy your car to impress others rather than yourself, look elsewhere (and probably buy a much less capable car).

My family and I don't travel outside the car and, where it needs to impress, it scores very well. The cabin is very well put together and laid out. The dash is sporty, with its three-binnacle design, bright red lighting and metallic effect finish. The seats look nice, are well shaped and have every adjustment to make yourself comfortable. However, the fabric looks like it may snag and mark easily. The car feels great to drive. The high position is reassuring, while the quality of ride and handling is excellent. The diesel engine is very lively and returns impressive fuel economy.

The boot is huge - the main reason to go for this over the otherwise identical but arguably better-looking Altea. It's true there are some blind spots, most of which the Altea shares but, having test-driven both, the Toledo's rear visibility when driving is better due to the larger, wrap-around window.

If you want an interesting alternative to the already all-too-common and bland-looking C-Max, this (and the Altea) are worthy of a look.
