Comfortable to drive. Good view from all rear-view mirrors. In 50,000 miles, it has always started first time time in all weathers, including ice and snow. It gives a good mpg, 47 mpg on long runs even with four passengers.
Servicing costs are reasonable. After 50,000 miles, two of the tyres are as originaly fitted. All controls are positive and easily accessable. I am very pleased with my purchase and would buy same again.
Cheap to run, good to drive and can take all my fishing and shooting gear quite comfortably.
Perhaps a bit low slung for some of the tracks I have to drive on but could not be expected to work like a 4x4.
Loads of power for our hills and very good handling on tight rural roads.
Don't know why I have never bought one before.
I have owned and driven this car for a year now, and am delighted with it.
It is excellent around town returning around 42-46 mpg. On a long run to Wiltshire recently I returned 69 mpg with myself and grandson, covering the motorways at around 55-70 mph. It is very roomy and with the rear seats folded (extremely easy) there is plenty of space for the sort of things I tend to carry around. I recently had a round pine dining table, it's centre pedestal leg, and four (4) dining chairs in the car along with myself and another.
I don't have a manual for it yet (I do all my own servicing) as Haynes say there are insufficient numbers on the road yet. A bonus for me after my Passat TDI Estate, was the lower road tax and the lower insurance, and the fuel consumtion.
The only critiscism I have is the quality of the alloys fitted. My car has only covered 24000 and the alloys are needing attention. They are looked after!! Overall, well worth the four star rating, maybe even five star, but for my experience with the alloy finish.
It's easy to drive and very comfortable, with plenty of space, and excellent build quality .
My fuel economy over 47,000 miles averaged 49.2mpg.
It surprises a few hot hatches with good performance and plenty of grunt when fully loaded. With four passengers plus luggage it still cruises happily at 80mph.
My only complaint is the lack no side airbags available when I bought it. I would buy another one happily though.
