I have owned my vRs for 14 months now. I drive around 15,000 miles with work every year and also have long train and air journeys. Each time I get in the vRs it puts a grin on my face. It scares hot hatches, big four-wheel drives and even the odd Porsche. Just try one! Oh but those light coloured seats... totally impractical!
I consider myself a very lucky man since i own a Fabia vRS Special Edition, knowing there's only a thousand of them on the roads. It's a great car for great value. It's quite cheap to run, but fast and powerful for a little car. I've only had it for two weeks but I'm already in love with it! "Race blue", as they call it, is a very beautiful colour for the Special Edition. I've just seen pictures of the new Fabia, and to be honest, I prefer the now 'old' one!
If you are thinking about buying one, go for it. Not sure whether there are any special editions left though...
having had several volkswagen i decided to se if it was true about skodas quality,i was not disappointed it has surpassed my expectations, reliable , build quality spot on ,drives better than my golf,s and polo ,can,t fault it , i get 60 mpg plus at a steady 70 mph.its been a joy to own.
The car feels very well built, the rides nice and sporty (but not too much) and the running cost are staggering even when you give it the beans, however it soon hits red line and 1 and second gear can be short lived, and on certain the roads the dash can rattle which soon becomes irritable, but give the gas and it puts a smile back on your face. This car may not be a head turner in looks but in terms of power it is, and a superb car to live with.
WELL DONE SKODA!!!
