    My car

I have had this car for 13 months and love it. It begs to be driven aggressively, which it does with grace. My fuel bill went from $80 a week for a BMW to $55 every two weeks. Insurance was cut by a third. The car is roomy for four tall adults for quick running around the city. I would not take the car on long journeys, as we have a Mercedes for that.

I have the baby engine in it and screams like an old Fiat. The ride is firm, but so are sports cars. This one has five doors, which sports cars don't.

I have put 15,000km on the car. The first service cost GBP 136. Nothing has gone wrong on this car. It's cheap to own, and huge fun to drive.

I have test driven a BMW Z3, Fiat Bravo, Porsche 924 and BMW Z4 on my daily drive route. Only the Z4 is capable of taking corners at speeds that my Forfour handles with ease. All other cars had squealing tires.

    Bullet-proof car.

    My car

It's a fine car, but it's a pity it has such cheap feel to it.

    My car

This is a really excellent little car; it is real fun to drive and, according to most people, it is seriously cool. The load space is pretty flexible and the fit and finish is everything that you can expect in a car this size. It is definitly a vehicle that puts the fun back into driving. Fuel economy is pretty good, 50 mpg no problem, even when pushed quite hard, the acceleration is storming. We had a Golf GTi 150bhp MK 4 before this, and the Smart knocks the spots off the Golf. Downside, - dealership just charged £270 for a 20k oil change and plugs service. £80/hr is scandalous, but they will never service it again. The list price was also terrible and we achieved a massive discount for an 8 month old pre reg version. Another good car, with ownership marred by main dealers.

    My car

I just love this car! It is just such fun to drive and really puts a smile on my face on every journey. The build quality is excellent and it is screwed together really well. The driving experience is brilliant, from the characterful engine note to the "go cart" like handling. All of the controls fall neatly to hand and the ergonomics are superb. The car is full of neat little touches which illustrate that a lot of thought was put into the original design. Running too costs are minimal. Its also has a really massive cool factor. Why buy a boring hatch when you can have a SMART forfour? There really is nothing like it on the roads at the price. Try one and buy one. I did and I LOVE IT!
