    My car

I bought this car just over one year ago and it has been a disaster.

Warranty work carried out over the past 12 months has included a new alarm, all suspension replaced, two driver's seats replaced, faulty interior lights replaced, driveshafts replaced, all belts in the engine replaced, glass roof and blinds replaced and a faulty brake master cylinder replaced. For a car that is one year old and only done 5000 miles, it has an awful lot of rattles!

The AA has been out twice and there is still a problem with metallic grinding noises from the engine which the dealer has had three attempts to fix.

While it has spent two months of its life off the road, the obnoxious Mercedes-Benz dealer has a 2-4-week waiting list and has only once been able to provide a courtesy car - which they charged me for. Couple this with the fact that they give the car its first service and "inspect" all the mechanicals and two weeks later it needs suspension, driveshafts and belts replacing. What do they do during this so-called "inspection" for over £200?

Other than that, the car is great. It's fantastic looks stand out from the boring crowd and it's loads of fun to drive. The interior also has everything you need (air-conditioning etc). I would not buy another, though.

    My car

i recently took receipt of my new forfour passion, after looking high and low for one of the final models (ringing over 10 dealers). Initial impressions are good the car feels solid and well built, comfortable with commendable performance from the 1.1 engine. I like the sporty handling and unique engine noise, plus how many of these do you see on the road ? while fiesta's and polo's are ten a penny.

I managed to get a good discount from dealer who was helpful if a little slow to respond. The multi function rear seat is very useful and a nice feature. only a few gripes the engine feels a bit lumpy at low speeds, the gearbox is a bit notchey from cold but hey I'm looking really looking hard to pick a faults. If you like the smart quirkiness but prefer a bit more practicality go buy a forfour you'll love it, go for the passion with glass roof the extra money is well worth it.

as for service it should be up to mercedes usual standard. economy is excellent especially in the 1.1 petrol and 1.5 diesel models.

    My car

I have only had the car for three days. I wanted a smaller nippy quality car with low emissions and this does seem to be it. I can't understand why they are discontinuing but I did get a good discount from the excellent dealership in Leeds. They still have some left including the exotic Brabus.
