    My car

This Roadster is a brilliant little car to own and run im on my second one due to an accident in my first and belive me they may be small but they can take some impact. Anyway i now own the earlier model now with the hard targa top and its even better no leaks and only 35 pound a year road tax, bargin for a cool roadster. Oh there is a cool website to called smarts r us where you can jazz your roadster up its worth a look too.

    My car

Well, I have owned mine from new (04) and I still enjoy it very much. Driving it in the Summer on country roads is great fun and belive me I have and do own some powerfull cars but this one gives me the most giggle factor of all. I have had only one problem with it and that is the water ingress where the carpets keep getting wet on the passenger side. Drys out fine in the summer and there are websites which can advise you on a cure. I think maybe people expect too much from this little car. It is what it is, a fun sports car like those of old but with new technology, maybe too much technology? Talk about cheap to run though and the mother-inlaw can't get down low enough, oh and its popular with all ages. Come on, what more can you want?

    My car

I have owned this car for just over two months and have had nothing but hassle.

It started with leaks over the wing mirrors and this swiftly lead to water leaking into the main electrical box.

My car went back to the garage and had all the seals replaced at a cost of nearly £400. The SAM unit was replaced, luckily under warranty, as it had already been replaced nine months beforehand, but this would have cost me nearly £1500 had I not done my research.

I had my car back from the garage for two weeks, but the first time it rained, the leaks were back and it had numerous electrical problems as well.

It is currently back at the garage and they are refusing to believe anything is wrong with the vehicle and will not carry out any further repairs.

I have been disgusted with the customer service I have received from Mercedes-Benz and I will be selling the car as soon as I get it back.

I am very disappointed as I love driving the car and it looks great but I no longer trust it.

I have spoken to several people who are also having the same problems as me, so please be wary if you are thinking of buying this car!

    My car

This car is difficult! Driving on a perfect summer's day I would say it was perfect - fuel consumption is good & driving it is superb. However, I drove it once during snow & the ESP had it sliding all over the place. When it's raining, the inside steams up very easily & will not clear unless the window's open!! I've also had major problems with the roof leaking - took it back to the garage 3 times & still having problems!!

My favourite part of this car is the sound system - I like my rock music and I like it loud - the stereo system is fantastic!!!

The worst bit is the height of the car - I have not had a single passenger who hasn't complained that it's too low - everybody has problems getting in & out of it (inc young flexible 21 yr olds such as myself)!!!

The car grabs a lot of attention (I've even had somebody taking a photo of it in a traffic jam) & it's great to drive however, after paying £11,500 for it, I would expect perfection & the roof and condensation problems have convinced me that this is never going to be the case. Therefore, I'm selling up!!
