USED Subaru Forester 4x4 (02 - 08)

My car

Very pleased with the car. The Hill holder system is a litle bit problematic especially on parking.

The drive and performance is fantastic. The equipment level in the 2.5 XT is good, with everything including sat-nav as standard. The car deserves five stars.

I have been in the rear and have no problems. I may not have as much space as my old Volvo, but there was enough and I was not catching my legs on the seats. With regards to off-road ability - who cares?

Great car! Test-drive one yourself and decide! You won't regret it.

I have owned nine new cars and this is the first one that has been no trouble. It must be one of the most reliable cars on the road.

Before purchasing the Forester, I tried the CR-V, and RAV4. The Forrester beat both of them by a distance on the road and off it.

Cost-wise, servicing has been cheaper than my wife's Honda Civic.

It wears very well and after 40,00 miles there are no sqeaks or rattles.

Your three-star rating is derisory, it should be five. The only gripes I have is no diesel and the CD player is not the best I have heard.

It was an exitement to buy this small and powerful 4WD seven years back, with powerful thrust, huge roof, all leather seats and eight speaker audio-video system. Well it did not take long when I realised the handling was still difficult because of the higher CG. Oil pump and a lot of things needed to be changed since the fifth year and the maintanince time and cost is skyhigh.
