have been reading the readers reviews i am now compelled to write a review. As someone who drives these vehicles every day i am inclined to disagree with whats ben said. first of all as for the suzuki being better than a mini, no way hose'!!!! anywho first things first the drive and quality of manufacture. The clutch on these vehicles is absolutely disturbing, high biting point makes these vehicles impossible to drive well, often riding the clutch heavily. the gearbox feels extremely weak when hard driving is needed too. engine noise is a constant problem although i like to hear this so ill let that slide. on the road the handling is terrible cornering feels odd lumpy bumpy and unresponsive. looks are ok ill admit but cheap paint and panels spoil badly. reliabuility is good engine wise but brakes are rotten and be warned these little cars eat tyres for breakfast youve been warned. overall the cars are rubbish ok in smal areas and abbismal in most. how you can see these cars in the same league as the mini is scary...... avoid
Had my car now for four months, got the copper colour, automatic transmission and its the best car I've ever had. It runs smoothly and is quite a nippy little car. Wish I had bought the sport as I like the extras but all in all this car is a great car to drive. First time I have driven an automatic and never intend to turn back to manual. Love the shape of the car and inside is very spacious for its size. I can also get quite alot of shopping in boot. Well done Suzuki. Look forward to any new editions!!!
bought this car new as it looked superb, its white with white suzuki rally alloys and black stipes from bonnet to back, a real head turner but not over the top. the car has been in our possesion for 10 months now and hasn't even thought about breaking down. however for a 1.3 engine it isn't very good on fuel, the ride is overly firm on bumps, the cabin noise is high, the stereo and speakers aren't very loud, the interior plastics are very cheap looking and there are a lot of squeeks, i also think the exterior paint work isn't up to a high standard as there are small bumps which are visable and the boot space is no existant. the drive is a different matter however, it's very fast to 50mph, it sticks to the road like glue, the steering is incredible and visabilityis great. the car was cheap and has been great so far but if you want a comfortable small car, this is not the one for you, but if you want something different which is reliable and looks great from outside and is brilliant to drive then it is.
I have owned my 1.5 GLX now for 6 months, it looks superb, drives perfectly and the equipment that comes as standard is very good, the only downside i found was fuel consumption i was getting around 35-37mpg from it and that was driving carefully. I am just in the process of swaping it in for a sport model, i drove one for 30 mins the other day and it is awesome, definelty worth the extra money, if you push the dealer enough you can get a brand new one for £10,000.
