    My car

The diesel provides, as expected, excellent torque but consistent power lags after the pull-away surge.

It has very comfortable seating and good luxury appointments - one can't complain. For what is supposed to be a workhorse off-roader known and seen over the years in Asia and Africa, it's a pleasurable luxury vehicle. At least, the LC4 is.

The true test was put on the vehicle last year in really tough terrain and thick muddy red clay. This vehicle is IT!

I kept saying to myself: "I am going to buy this Prado," while the Hill Descent was engaged.

    My car

An absolutely excellent vehicle. Having previously owned an Amazon, I thought it was time to get a more frugal off-roader. It may be only slightly smaller than the Amazon, but the fuel costs were definitely decreased.

On road, it feels very strong and surefooted. Like all 4x4s, the corners need to be treated with some respect, but I never felt in danger of losing it. It's very comfortable and the soundproofing is excellent. All in all, it's a relaxing and confident on-road drive.

Off road, it's king. I have never ever got bogged down and have dragged various other "invincibles" from the mire - Discovery, Cherokee, Patrol, to name just three.

In short, if you want an off-raoder that actually you intend using off-road, buy a Landcruiser. It's extremely comfortable, confidence-building and will never let you down.

    My car

I bought this car because I needed good ride quality (for occupants as well as the driver), reasonable fuel efficiency, plenty of space and good safety.

The LC4 D-4D auto has delivered all the above in droves. Everyone who comes in the car remarks how comfortable the drive is and quiet it is.

My dealer is incredibly helpful, even though I bought the LC4 from another dealer. No wonder Toyota is fast becoming the world's number one car company!

    My car

Excellent car - very nice to drive. I should have had the reversing assist fitted when I bought the car.

    It's being added next week.
