    My car

I have owned my MR2 for 2 years now. A very quick sports car and looks great. For the money there is really only the MR2 or MX5 in the price range and I prefer the looks of this one. No mechanical issues and great fuel economy due to the light weight. I know the car has practically zilch storage but you can't complain about that after you buy one - its pretty obvious. however you can get golf clubs in the locker behind the seats if you lay your driver on top of the bag!

    My car

I took this car for a test drive. I was only in it for about 20 minutes, but that was more than enough time for me. I'm 6ft 2in and the cabin is way too small for people of this height.

The steering wheel was touching my knees no matter how far back the seat was. Plus the ride is very hard, so you can feel every bump.

I have driven more comfortable go-karts!

    My car

I owned an MR2 Roadster and without a doubt it was the best car I have ever owned. The only problem I had was a fault with a oxygen sensor. The car had just run out of warranty and Toyota let me buy a new one and get the sensor replaced under the warranty. The service from Toyota was second to none.

The car is an amazing and fun car to drive. If you're considering a convertible, definitely have a look at one of these. I now own a Peugeot 307 diesel (new member of the family meant the MR2 had to go) and have had no end of problems with the Peugeot. At least I can reminisce about the days of trouble-free and five-star service quality from Toyota and their dealerships, unlike Peugeot who are as much use as a chocolate fireguard !

    My car

If only i would have visited this site prior to buying my MR2 (2000), as i would have given it a little more respect in the wet!

Having only owned it for only 2 months i was still very much in the honeymoon period and loved every moment driving it, not the most practical car i have ever owned - but by far one of the most fun...

Gerry if your reading this your welcome to my Manual as i wrote my car off last week, rolled it three times and ended up on the roof in a farmers field - very wet conditions and a little bit of misjudgement on my part ooops!

Hopefully no one else will experience this but to put all of your minds at rest - this car's safety is amazing, both myself & husband got out of this car unharmed not a bruise (apart from my pride), the roof certainly took one hell of a bashing but what car wouldnt, many people who work with this type of accidents and seen the car are amazed we survived at all and have all said if we were in any other convertable it would have been quite another story!

Am now looking for another one, and will treat this with the respect it deserves!
