    My car

This car was bought new with hardtop and air conditioning, after nine months the alloy wheels are showing signs of corrosion. The vehicle was returned to main dealer for inspection and they agreed to replace the wheels under the warranty.

One month later this work has still not been carried out, despite my dissatisfaction being regisered. The car looks terrible with these wheels in this condition.

I have to say this service has changed my view of Toyota for its reputation and dealer satisfaction.

Despite this problem, the car is good to own and drive although space is very limited.

    My car

A 2002 model with leather interior and air-conditioning. Have owned this car for a year now and has covered 33,000 miles. It is a great fun car that is easy to live with if you do not need it for shopping trips - reliable is its middle name. There has not even been the slightest murmer during the time I have owned this car. The roof is easy to operate and can be put down in less that 15 seconds. There is just no need for electric motors to complete this function. Motors can and do go wrong. Comfortable for a long journey and a smile on your face at the end....what more do you need? Economical and cheap to insure. 38mpg and £270 fully comp for myself and my wife. Relatively cheap servicing costs and Toyota reliabilty. Oh and before I forget....it handles like a gem. Try one or buy one as it looks better and handles better than an MX-5.

    My car

I bought the car from new. The service I received from Toyota has been sub standard.

Although nothing has gone wrong with the car, it has done a very low mileage and isn't wearing well. Had I kept the car, I suspect the service bills would have started to rise after the three-year period.

I would not recommend one as an investment as I have recently part-exchanged it for another make and lost a substantial amount of money.

I certainly wouldn't buy another Toyota. They may be reliable but don't have the image of other brands.

    My car

An absolute pleasure to drive, however, as I bought this car on a purely impulse buy, I'm now paying the price on the practicality side of things.

As a very safety-conscious driver, I always carry the speare wheel in the front 'boot' so space in the front is very limited - in fact, after my roadside safety kit, there is none, which just leaves the two miniscule compartments behind.

However, all is not lost as the interior (leather package) is sumptous, spacious and comfortable and the sporty dash is a real treat for the eyes.
