Really good car, with good internal kit, however it is a bit slow unless you really push it, also the suspension has been changed from the lesser models and so is more firm, so you can feel every bump on the road, however would recomend!
I have a 2003 Astra 1.6 SXi and its been in to vauxhall 3 times since December 2006 wen i bought it a new cat - around £800 a new EGI valve £130 and then another one but they gave me that for free as it was still under warrenty. i get just over 300 miles out of a tank which isn't that good. It also tends to drink oil from time to time has a good spell then its gone but then lasts for ages gets confusing
Space inside is great you don't feel cramped you have space to move around. Buttons and dials easy enough to read and use.
Overall i would have another one just not the petrol for the millage i do (10,000 miles since December)
For its class, it's a nice car to drive, and they're available at absolute bargain prices.
My seven-year-old 1.8 CD is as good now as the day Arriva bought it.
It has a nice level of equipment, and is nippy round town and strong on the motorway.
I carried an entire kitchen worktop in it.
What more do you want from a cheap family car?
I've had the car for five years and it's never gone wrong.
But I do a lot of motorway driving and after a few hours the seats do become very uncomfortable.
The 1.7 diesel engine is extremely noisy and can't pull the car when we go on holiday with a full load. Showers of black smoke come out of the exhaust if you rev it above 2000rpm.
Around town it manages only 28mpg but on the motorway we might see 45mpg if I drive carefully
Overall, I would not by another one
I am getting a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI next week and hope this will be a bit better
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
My late 2010 1.6 CRDI has covered 43,000 miles in just over 18 months. The good. So far the car seems totally reliable. The interior still looks…
I just traded in my beloved 56 plate ST2 and I regret it. All I can say is buy one, the car is fantastic with the best thing being the noise the…
