    My car

Recently purchased a Corsa 1.0 Life on a 06 plate, to replace my ageing Fabia 1.4. I must admit to being surprised at how competent the tiny engine is. It'll win the traffic light grand prix every time (if you've a mind to do so). It'll pull strongly up any hill (my old fabia used to struggle to do 60 up one particularly long steep hill locally, the Corsa will do 65 and feels more relaxed in the process). Also it'll pull smoothly and briskly in 5th from below 1000rpm.

On top of that the seats are comfortable, the cabin is light and airy with plenty of glass so visibility is very good. Parking is simplicity itself (easiest car I've owned to park).

The breaks are very good with ABS and Break Assist, which really makes a difference, initially they feel to sharp but after only a few miles you wonder how you managed without them.

The car starts first time every time, gets me to where I'm going in comfort and still returns around 50MPG.

It's slightly less refined and slightly noisier than my old fabia, but I can forgive it that because it does everything else (well almost) better.

    My car

An excellent little car! Sure, its basic and my entry level car has little equipment; it has been 100% reliable despite a rough life. I live up an extremely bumpy unsurfaced track and do lots of driving on country roads. The 1.2 engine is zippy and eager with decent performance if you thrash it. The interior has stood up to all the abuse. the only slight faults are that been well over 6foot tall, long journeys can get uncomfortable and the I had to get new handbrake cables as the handbrake would not secure the car on some slopes. After this was done (cheaply and quickly) the car would still roll on some slopes meaning I couldn't park there. That aside I would not hesitate to recommend this car and I hope to continue thrashing mine for years to come

    My car

I previously had the corsa GLS 1.2 and changed it for the SXI and have never looked back. A very modern looking interior with some good equipment for a cheap car. Very nippy car having a 1.4 engine and being a light car works to its advantage! Great on cornering with the sports suspension on this model and the sports seats hug you. Would be useful if back seats folded completely flat and sometimes have the odd rattle in the cabin.

    My car

a great car to drive, for a small engine car it really is quite nippy around town, and accelerating around 20-40 is a breeze. Has it's work cut out on hills when accelerating sometimes and on fast roads takes a little pushing to accelerate, but overall good. a few problems with reliability, not always starting first time, and sometimes sounding a little chuggy when starting (not good for a 55 reg car which hasn't even had it's first MOT yet!). Good interior, however the plastics inside are quite sensitive to the slightest scratch or watermark. Running costs not quite as good as expected, usually struggle to get 30mpg on urban driving, but very good in extra-urban conditions (usually around 55-60) although i do work the engine a little too much perhaps.. Handling around corners is OK, some body roll felt if a corner is taken too fast, and the steering can be a bit wobbly when going downhill over potholes or bumps. overall good, speed bumps are not a great discomfort when travelling at less than 25mph.
