I previously had the corsa GLS 1.2 and changed it for the SXI and have never looked back. A very modern looking interior with some good equipment for a cheap car. Very nippy car having a 1.4 engine and being a light car works to its advantage! Great on cornering with the sports suspension on this model and the sports seats hug you. Would be useful if back seats folded completely flat and sometimes have the odd rattle in the cabin.
a great car to drive, for a small engine car it really is quite nippy around town, and accelerating around 20-40 is a breeze. Has it's work cut out on hills when accelerating sometimes and on fast roads takes a little pushing to accelerate, but overall good. a few problems with reliability, not always starting first time, and sometimes sounding a little chuggy when starting (not good for a 55 reg car which hasn't even had it's first MOT yet!). Good interior, however the plastics inside are quite sensitive to the slightest scratch or watermark. Running costs not quite as good as expected, usually struggle to get 30mpg on urban driving, but very good in extra-urban conditions (usually around 55-60) although i do work the engine a little too much perhaps.. Handling around corners is OK, some body roll felt if a corner is taken too fast, and the steering can be a bit wobbly when going downhill over potholes or bumps. overall good, speed bumps are not a great discomfort when travelling at less than 25mph.
Quality engine for town driving. Steering is nice and direct. The seats don't hold you in the corners very well. Get a lot of body roll in corners. Take a corner a little too quick and you feel the back start to slide (nothing aftermarket springs won't solve).
That said, still a good little car. It's roomy front and back. Nice boot size. All it needs is a few tweaks and you should be sitting pretty.
test the steering on eps models corsas when buying your next corsa mine cost me 450.00 to fix
