    My car

This is an Easytronic gearbox version of the standard 1.25-litre CDTi engine, and the car has no sunroof.

I bought it partly due to the gearbox, but mainly due to the claimed economy of the engine being up to 74mpg, and the low tax rate of £35 a year.

On the positive side, it has a good level of equipment, an extremely comfortable driver's seat that holds you in position, a superb ride with excellent cornering, and easy to use controls (including steering-wheel mounted radio controls).

However, in slow or stalled traffic, the gearbox can be jerky either in manual or auto mode as you don't have the luxury of controlling the 'biting point' of the clutch.

Economy isn't as good as claimed - I'm only reaching 60mpg on good runs, and there is no 'park' function on the gearbox, meaning you always have to rely on the handbrake and cannot park the car 'in-gear' (having said that, the car warns you with a buzzer if you park up, switch off, and forget to use the handbrake!).

Overall, it's a very nice car (glad I bought it). The gearbox is easy to use in either auto or manual mode, and operation is on the whole very smooth - except in very slow traffic as mentioned.

It is greatly refined over the earlier models, and has good all-round vision, and a good loading gap through the hatchback boot.

(IMHO avoid the new model with its lower rear roof line, reduced rear quarter vision, and smaller boot with low-level loading space).

    My car

A wonderful car have owned it for over two years now, have owned the older model and this one is an improvement on drive and interior wise. economical on fuel. lowest tax band and insurance cat 1.only had one problem with it and that was the linkage - vauxhall originally put a plastic linkage which was replaced with a metal one. would recommend to 1st time buyers.

    My car

This is a good car to drive, but problems do arise, I have had problems with gear linkages, wipers (not turning off - having to turn engine off for wipers to stop)

This car is also expensive on Tax, £140 per year, considering my sister has a 1.2 04 plate Corsa design and her tax is £100 per year. Her car is also more fuel efficient.

Potential buyers of corsa's be aware of this! check the tax before you buy!!!

    My car

i had the 1.2 16v sxi corsa on a 51 plate and found it to be a good car handled well and not bad speed i ended up getting the 1.4 16v sri on a 54 plate and found it to be worse than the 1.2 on handling as it seemed to be lighter than the 1.2 on the front end dunno if it was becouse of the xtra power or if it was bad design? but it had good speed and done well. it just a shame the handling and the interior let it down quite a bit hence why i have give it 3 stars
