    My car

I received my new car in December since then it has been back to Greenhous (Shrewsbury) 3 times for grinding brakes, and now the recall for the lower steering arm, I have been without my new car for nearly a month and still no sign of the parts from Vauxhall. Why is Vauxhall taking so long to get these parts to the dealerships? My other comments are the reflection on the windscreen from the console and that there is no mirror on passenger sun visor.

    My car

Further to my review of 7 March 2007, my car has been back and forward to the dealership. I was advised that they were going to swap over the tyres and wheels to see if this would alleviate the vibration (suggestion from Vauxhall) which it didnt. Car going back in on Friday for a damper weight to be fitted. I have contact vauxhall by letter and advised them of my disappointment with my runt of the litter and the case is now in their hands. Will let you know what happens!

    My car

Yesterday i took delivery of my Brand new Corsa and i couldnt be happier. i thought i'd write a quick review because i opted for the 1.7 cdti design model and no one has wrote about it yet, so here goes- it goes like stink! past 2000 rpm this little monster leaves vw golf drivers scratching there heads at traffic lights as i leave them reading my rear number plate. my old car was the previous generation corsa with a 1.2 engine, and with 125 bhp and 280lb of torque (which im told is good?)it feels like a ferrari when i (gently) edged out on to the motorway for the 1st time it was silent and my girlfriend even asked if this was diesel, which speaks volumes really. also when i looked down at the speedo it read 85 mph and that was only in 5th gear. so when i slipped it into 6th for the cruise i couldnt even hear the engine at all. i've been reading all the reader reviews since i placed my order in mid Jan and ALOT of people are unhappy with the reflection thingy from the central console in the windscreen so i wasnt looking forward to when the sun went down as the design trim has the piano black fascia. BUT i didn't notice it at all, this for me makes it a great car and its night and day compared to the 1.2sxi chav charriot i drove before. all together a perfect car

    My car

Last Saturday, I received a notice from Vauxhall recalling my new Corsa CDTi (bought in November 2006) because of problems with the steering lower arm.

I arrived my Vauxhall dealer and was told by a member of the service department I was not to drive it away under any circumstance as it was unsafe. After asking for a courtesy car, as I had driven from work to bring the car in, and I was now stranded with no transport, he said there was no chance of getting a replacement vehicle until at least Monday or Tuesday and left me with his business card.

He wasn't even going to let me collect my workbag from my own vehicle until I argued the point that I really couldn't work without it. He then just left me on the forecourt and went on to the next customer.

After I insisted on speaking to someone in authority, two hours later I was then given a courtesy car which I then had to pay out £15 to put the replacement car on my insurance.

In a nutshell, there was a fault with my own car which was not even of my doing, but was caused by Vauxhall not manufacturing their vehicles to the specified standard, therefore rendering them unsafe!

I've had to pay out money for their incompetence and I am now out of pocket. I have also lost out on a morning's pay - they were willing to leave me stranded without a second thought and am likely to lose out on another day's pay to come and collect the car when it is eventually fixed!
