USED Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback (06 - )

My car

bought this car in june 08, flame red,certainly a head turner !!!.fantastic performance,0-60 in 6.8 seconds,the recaro seat's are great,except the drivers,the leather lining has seperated itself from the frame of the seat,can't seem to get it back in,very annoying.just noticed a annoying squealing from the front brakes too(possibly a bit of grit trapped in between the brakepad and the disc(would help if i didn't jet wash it .apart from that i love it !.unfortunatley has been scratched deliberatley by vandals. may have to move it on....shame ,but fantastic motor

My car

I currently drive a 2007 Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 16v Sporting and while I like the style, the size etc I thought about changing, so naturally my cars alter ego would be a good choice....wrong!! the 1.4 Vauxhall engine is terrible, it makes a horrible noise and is nowhere near as smooth or powerful as the Fiat unit. Also despite me thinking the suspension in my Fiat on 17 inch wheels was firm, the Corsa was rock solid on 16 inch rims! Very little give at all, less cornering roll and it handled well at low speed but truly unforgivable in a straight line, and this example had done 23k miles so not even yet to bed in. Also the steering felt oddly heavy and unnatural, the gearbox clunky and with just 5 gears. However the worst thing was the quality, there was wind whistling around the door seals and rattles everywhere, in short its not even worth considering in my opinion, its also more expensive than the Fiat and the interior is worse, I don't know why I even considered it.

My car

I used to own a Corsa C in which I felt a little vulnerable to say the least ! After buying my car I will not go back, the steering is involving, it handles like it's on rails with the lower suspension and it is very quiet. The dealership was also excellent.(Sonning Common) It would be nice if there was a sixth gear though, maybe the MPG issues be solved if there was a better gearbox ?

It could be my imagination but most of the negative points and issues seem to have been written in the north of the country....................

My car

I have owned my Corsa 5dr Design auto model now for a year. First thing I noticed was the very poor mpg. I know this is because I have an auto. but I thought it would be better than this. Also, just came to renew road tax. The emissions are higher than you will find in guides, and so £170.00 is the price! High for a small car. I have found the driver's seat uncomfortable and have to use a cushion. The padded side supports make the seat part very narrow, and I am not a large person! I have had to have a complete new radio/cd unit fitted as the old one ate my Neil Diamond cd, and didn't even say thankyou. They cannot extract partially digested cd's, and a new unit is the only solution. Apparently this is a design feature... so, don't let your Corsa go hungry... you will pay with the loss of a cd. The windscreen wipers are a law unto themselves. They just work on the mode they feel like at the time. Intermittent? oh yes! but only when they are in the mood. I traded in my 3dr Toyota Rav (just at the right time), which was a much more solid car. The Corsa looks very pretty and has a good sized boot (which is why I traded in the tank-like Toyota - no boot at all), but it doesn't feel as nice to drive as a previous 5 dr auto Fiesta which I loved, but my family kept calling "The Brick". I think the seat comfort is the worst aspect of this car.
