    My car

Having owned the Frontera RS I thought, here we go, a 4x4 built to take abuse. How wrong I was. The speedo broke before I got it home, the fuel tank imploded meaning that it's empty when the dial shows that it is a quarter full and the engine management light kept coming on all the time and Vauxhall - who need a kick up the backside - liked to charge me to get it fixed, but never actually did anything. Oh and something kept knocking at my feet when I drove off.

The handling is great off-road, but on the road there where times I turned the wheel and two seconds later it responded.

The cabin is dated, but practical and comfortable. It is not a bad place to be, but you are always wondering what will go wrong next.

I am now driving a Toyota Land Cruiser and can say that it's safer to pay that little bit extra for peace of mind and quality.

I'd like to say sorry to the person I sold the Frontera to.

    My car

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE KNOCK THESE CARS! IN 5 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP NOT A SPANNER HAS BEEN TAKEN TO IT, THE INTERIOR IS LIKE NEW, THERE'S NO RUST, IT PULLS LIKE A TRAIN AND IS A DAMN SIGHT QUICKER OFF THE LIGHTS THAN YOU MIGHT THINK.

    My car

I have been driving this car now for 10 months and I am very pleased with it. I bought it because it looked great and I needed a car with a big boot. Yes they are many other cars that would fit those requirements and i've thought about that a few times in the early months reading some reviews and listening to rumours. But I have to say I am happy with the car overall. I have yet to tow anyting with it as I havn't got around to fitting a towbar yet. I have been to CO Doneagal a few time over some cruel terrain and found the car really only comes into itself when put to the test.

LOOKS GREAT AND DRIVES GREAT! NO PROBS.

    My car

I have had this 4x4 since May and it is a good car overall.

The only problem I had was after three weeks - the cylinder head cracked on it. So I took it back, got the head done, and it has been perfect since.

I have not let that problem stop me driving this car - it's better looking on the outside than any other off-roader I have seen. It looks even better with Good Year AT tyres.
