what can i say the worsted car i have ever owned after one month thing started to go wrong i had a problem with nearly every electrical part on the car which was always sorted out by the dealer after many phone calls and visits . it looks like a great little sports car and really gets you noticed but all it has is looks it handles like a wet dog on lino flooring i took a slight bend in the road at 50 mph and it spun 360 into a tree when it was replaced i sold it and got a peugeot 206 gti much happer now
I bought this Tigra on a whim, i test drove the 1.8 but then drove the 1.4 and i found it much more pleasurable to drive. It has cheaper insurance and better fuel costs so i went for it. I chose the Exclisiv model as it had all the extras and i paid extra for the rear parking sensor which is a total bonus. I have had no problems with the roof yet and i love the leather heated seats. The sterio is not as bad as people on here say, and i find it perfectly good for loud house music!
The electric boot still confuses me... you can open if from inside but not close it from inside and you feel a bit of a dick standing with your finger pressed for a few seconds while it makes its noises and closes. But it does make people look.
The looks you get at traffic lights putting the rood down are fab and people do smile with amazement. Someone called it a silver bullet and i was very pleased they noticed as they were in an SLK
I got the star silver and i think its the best colour option to go for.
All in all i would not hesitate to have another one, maybe id go for the 1.8 or even bigger engine if they did one as my mates say its a hair dressers car, and after driving and owning MGF VVC there is definately a difference in power but to be looked at and be safe and warm its worth it.
We have had our Tigra now since June 06 and we just love it. We managed to catch most of the sunny weather and driving with the roof down was great. Now that the bad weather has arrived driving the car is almost as much fun. Yes the stereo is weak and the interior is nothing more than a corsa but we don't care. The only criticism I have is the electric boot, WHY !!!! In my opinion this is a major flaw in the design. Having to wait so long for the boot to close in the pouring rain is just .......well I cant print my opinion :-) The only good thing about the boot is the space, when the roof is up its very impressive for the size of car and can easily accommodate a set of clubs and an electric trolley.
We have had the Tigra since August and it is much admired by one and all. Performs well on short and long, motorway journeys and has proved very reliable (so far).
My major gripe is the poor quality of the stereo system. For a car designed to be used with the roof down, one would reasonably expect an audio system designed for these conditions. Unfortunately, even with the roof up, the stereo is quite pathetic.
Minor gripe is when the door is opened during rain, the car seems designed for the rain to flow smoothly onto the lovely, leather seats!
Overall though, no regrets, a beautiful car to look at and to drive.

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
