    My car

I have owned this car for just over a year and paid £3000 for a 2000 X-reg low-mileage(43,000) example in excellent general condition.

I soon found out it has an oil leak at the back of the engine and needed new front discs, tyres, back box and basically a full service. This all cost just under £500 and still have annoying oil leak that can't seem to be fixed!

Now the car has an electrical fault and discharges the battery. I haven't investigated it yet and boost it when I need it.

If you enjoy driving, do not get a Vectra.

    My car

I bought my T-registered CDX hatchback about a year ago. I have to admit it's the most comfortable car I have ever driven.

It has all the toys - cruise control, heated seats, air-con, electric everything and on-board computer. The only thing I have changed is the stereo head unit for a decent Sony one to enable iPod integration.

Paintwork is in excellent condition, with only a tiny spot of rust bubbling under the rear arch. The engine is clean with no signs of oil leaks. It has a full Vauxhall-stamped service booklet for its 102,000-mile history.

It drives and handles well. Motorways are effortless, although a bit greedy on the fuel. Again, driving around town is limited to second and third gears - the engine is so torquey, so why bother with first?

There's loads of room for two adults and two teenagers and the boot is huge, as others have stated.

On the whole, I'm very pleased with my Vectra, even given the higher price for petrol. At the next upgrade, I will be looking at a diesel Vectra.

    My car

I Bought this car about 6 months ago knowing there was work to be done, this is the reason how i bought it cheap. the work that was needed was routine nothing you wouldnt expect on most cars, but the previous owner didnt have the time to do do the work. now the work is all done i couldnt complain its a pleased to drive.

As for the practicality, it must be one of the best hatchback/saloons around all you have to do is look at the boot. ITS MASSIVE. Only a peolpe carrier would have more space.

Considering the model, it is a very quick car, the stats for 0-60 are wrong the vehicle does it alot quicker.

i got this car to use as started a family i couldnt of asked for better for the money.
