cheap,good,high spec car
The car has been very good untill now. It has had turbo failure at 200k Miles. I am getting a new turbo fited. The car has never let me down other than that. It has also had a bad accident last year and had it fixed with lots to the front left side. The car was running strong untill then but It will be running stong again once I get this turbo fited.
I bought a X plated vectra sri 150. Whilst it was resonably quick, the fuel it drank was a real problem- many a plastic part also fell off i.e plastic around the bottom of the seats, bits inside the boot, various other niggles. started to drink lots of oil, thats when i found out the piston rings had let go and it had only done 70,000 miles!! not the most relible either, would not have another to expensive to run and the after sales at vauxhall not as good as other major manufactures. that said there must be some good ones??
I have the "Dual Fuel" Gas/Petrol version as a company car. As a rep car its poor. The gas tank is under the boot, so the spare wheel has to go in the boot, limiting its capacity. I never use the gas, as the re-filling is a nightmare and complicated. My main irritaion with the Vectra is the indicator stalk. It dosen't stay on! It springs back into position when you push it up/down. Ive found it very dangerous, as the indicators often turn themselves off when stationary, before turning. Basic "Corsa" radio and cd is poor, and no interior light in the back. Poor service as well at Vauxhall dealers. Wont be getting a Vauxhall again!
I am a company car driver and had one of these for 3 years (07-10) and 40k miles.I had a choice of a passat,Mondeo or a Renault Laguna.I personally…
Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
