    My car

Not a good buy - the 100bhp engine is harsh and grating on a long run. It actually needs a sixth gear. It is also not particularly economical, and due to the tank's small size you will be regularly at the pumps.

Plump instead for the 75bhp 1.4, which is smoother and more flexible. The Sport is overpriced for what you get over the S model - alloys, electric mirrors, a stupid central exhaust and not much else. The TDi Sport is, I suspect, a much better prospect.

Reliability was not much good on either of my two Lupos - build quality, electrical and engine issues cropped up. I got rid of each after a year.

In short, the car is overpriced, although it holds its value quite well. If you must drive a car that looks like a LEGO toy, go for the Seat Arosa instead. Or get the Lupo GTi - now we're talking!
