    My car

Having brought this car end 2006 from new for £35K fairly fully loaded, it has been fraught with ongoing problems. Leaking windows, faulty air conditioning compressor (neede replacing just outside of warranty at £700 fitted) creaking windows and roof, loose wiring loom in roof, faulty electric front windows (sticks half way down when raising or lowering roof), recall for oil pressure problems - now keep getting engine service warning light every 6 months due to oil pressure problem. To make matters worse, the resale values have dropped through the floor.

It should be a great stylish cabriolet. It has all the right looks from what I believed was a quality manufacturer - Reality is that the build quality is so disappointing and the main dealer seems to be disinterested in sorting out any of the problems. Will never recomend buy a Volvo C70 again (or any other Volvo based on this experience.

Again - don't listen to the What Car review!!! Judge on the traditional Volvo stengths of comfort and safety and you won't find better. 28 hours coming back from the Stelvio Pass and covering 7 countries non stop attests to that - supremely comfy.

Dealership service also excellent which makes life much more pleasant. Maybe not always the latest tech with Volvo but tested and tends to work. Tempted by BMW but think will continue with Volvo after noting their dealership service.

    My car

The car looks great but I have had countless problems with the car. I have a 2007 model which Volvo gave as my 2006 model was very faultly. This model has leaked, the noise from the roof drives you mad with all of its noises, the windows creak alot, plastic trim around the handbreak keeps coming apart and the Volvo dealership keep scratching / damaging my car when its being repaired!!! Car has made over 10 visits this year to sort it our but still not sorted. Shame really as I would have said on looks its the best CC out.

The Volvo provides great practicality for 4 people and is one of the few cabriolets which seats 4 adults. The seats are fantastic and provide great support. the Interior quality is very good and although people have said that there are too many "little" buttons on the centre console, you very quickly get used to this. The sat nav system from the manufacturer is great and is even better with the control buttons on the steering wheel. BMW and Audi can learn from this. It is ever so easy. The drive is OK but you need to get used to the roling over the road. even the sport version does not provide a "hard" drive. The Audi and BMW are better on the road. overall, the volvo is a great car and great value for money. you can also still drive 80mph on the road with the roof down and still talk to eachother in a normal way. with a lot of cabriolets, you simply cannot do that.
