I've owned this in T5 trim for about three weeks and 2000 miles, and so far, so good.
The seats are extremely comfortable, the ride is good, and the handling and acceleration is good. I do about 100 miles each way to work, and after a long day it is a very comfortable place, whether you happen to have the roof up and all windows down, all windows and roof shut, or with the roof down.
My only regret is that I wish I had ordered the top-end stereo and the rear parking sensors.
The Volvo C70 is stunning to look at and the three piece folding roof is a real "wow" factor. The seats are superbly comfortable and the ride quality is firm but not harsh. The steering is precise rather than sporty, but this is not a sports car. How you rate the car depends on what exactly you are looking for, but if you are looking for a good looking, safe and comfortable car that's not one of the usual suspects, you won't go far wrong with one of these.
Whatcar has rated this car as ***. However, I feel this car is much better. It's certainly got the looks and sensibility of a coupe. A mindblowing interior really does set it apart from the Audi A4 and Mercedes CLK.
Yes, the running costs may be high, but what £30,000 convertible has cheap running costs? At least the forthcoming diesel should sort this a little. It's not exactly the best to drive, but nowadays, who buys a convertible for the test track? It's partly based on a Ford Focus - so that's a good start.
I think Volvo's image of boxy estates is slowly disintergrating!

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
