Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

Speccing your Insignia could take some time because there are dozens of versions to choose from.

The trims include Energy, SRi, SRi VX-Line and Elite, but we’d recommend the entry-level Design model or the better equipped and still affordable Tech Line.

There are also nine engines, including some low-CO2 Ecoflex units that make a lot of sense if you’re a company car driver. Vauxhall even offers four-wheel-drive models, although these are hideously expensive.

Like all Vauxhalls, the Insignia comes with a 100,000-mile, unlimited-period warranty. However, owners do have to visit a Vauxhall dealer for a free inspection once a year to maintain the cover, and it isn’t transferable when you sell the car.
