The DS 3 is the smallest car in Citroen’s premium DS Range. There's no five-door option – just this three-door hatchback and the Cabriolet derivative, which has a folding fabric roof.
In hatchback guise it's a rival for cars such as the Mini Hatch 3dr and Audi A1. Like those cars, the DS 3 offers buyers a huge selection of trims and colour options that allow them to create their own personal look. Contrasting roof, door mirror, wheel and interior panel colours, along with a range of decals, can be used to create a bold look, but even the most basic versions have a sharp, sporty appearance. The DS 3 has a driving character to match, and it's more fun than the lacklustre C3 five-door model it's based on.
Prices slightly undercut those of its Audi and Mini rivals, and good dealer discounts are available. Decent residual values and a range of impressively efficient engines make it an affordable car to own.
