Citroen has released prices of its new C5 Tourer, with models starting at 16,995 and rising to 25,495.
There are two petrol engines available - a 127bhp 1.8 and a 143bhp 2.0 - and four diesels. The diesels are a 110bhp 1.6, 138bhp 2.0, 173bhp 2.2 and a 208bhp 2.7 V6.
Buyers can choose from three trims - SX, VTR+ and Exclusive. All models come with cruise control, air-conditioning, roof bars, dark-tinted rear side and tailgate windows, an adaptive front lighting system and a multifunction, fixed-hub steering wheel.
Options include a seat-back massage function, a NaviDrive system (a voice-activated combination of telephone, audio and sat-nav systems), and a panoramic glass roof with an retractable sun-blind.
C5 Tourers can also be specified with conventional, steel-spring suspension or Citroen's own self-levelling Hydractive system.
The boot has a capacity of 505 litres with the seats up, and almost 1500 with them down, and to help with loading and unloading, the rear suspension can be raised or lowered. The suspension returns to its correct level when you shut the tailgate. A motorised tailgate is available as an option, too.
Safety equipment includes up to nine airbags, electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency braking assistance, and stability control. A lane-departure warning system is also available.
Citroen also says its new car should be quieter than almost anything in its class, thanks to multiple door seals and laminated side windows. The latter should also make the car more secure.
The new C5 Tourer goes on sale on June 17, and is available with 0% finance over three years.
