The Jaguar F-Type won a What Car? Award for best coupe costing more than £35,000, and it is a deserving winner. Nic Cackett, our deputy reviews editor, has been running an F-Type on our long-term test fleet - you can read how he's getting on with it here.
Outstanding performance and dazzling looks make the F-Type a great sports car, and we've found a great saving online.

Even at the full asking price of £53,050, we think the F-Type represents good value for money considering what you get in return. The performance is outstanding and its classy interior is a joy to sit in and, while it’ll never be considered a practical car, the boot is useable.
If you’re after a high-performance sports car, the F-Type is hard to fault. This engine might not have the outrageous pace that the V8 R can provide, but it’s still no slouch – it’ll cover 0-60mph in 5.1sec.
The F-Type’s amazing performance doesn’t come without its cost; it’s a thirsty beast, so you’d better be prepared for some hefty fuel costs. Our True MPG tests show that you'll average 26.7mpg in the real world.
Should I add any options?
Part-leather seats, sat-nav, 18in alloys, rear parking sensors, keyless entry and engine start, USB, Bluetooth and an 8.0in colour touchscreen all come as standard with this entry level F-Type.
To turn the Jag into one of the best-sounding cars around, add the optional active sports exhaust for £350. There are also plenty of wheel upgrades are available, ranging from 19in alloys for £1000 up to 20in blade alloys for £4000.
