We scour the internet broker sites to bring you big discounts on new cars every week. The brokers work with UK main dealers to offer these savings on the latest models.
The GT86 is defined by the way it handles. A classic front-engined, rear-wheel-drive layout gives Toyota’s coupe real agility and great balance. Eager throttle response and quick steering mean the GT86 is a hoot on the track, too.
Considering its size and price, safety equipment is second to none. Stability control and anti-whiplash headrests are standard fit, and there are seven airbags to protect you.
You have to work the engine hard to deliver the sort of pace you’d expect, although it does at least sound good when revved. Unfortunately, things don’t settle down on the motorway, and you’ll have to put up with plenty of road and wind noise, too.
Were not big fans of the dated cabin design (although you might be), and you shouldn’t expect to fit anything beyond a small child seat in the back.
Should I add any options?
You don’t have a lot of choice when it comes to options, because every GT86 is well equipped. Dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, cruise control, Bluetooth and automatic headlights are all standard.
You’ll need to spend at least £495 more if you want a body colour other than red. Adding sat-nav to the fiddly touch-screen system costs £750.
If you choose to take out PCP finance with the dealer, you can get an additional £1,000 discount.
