Kia has launched four new special editions for the summer.

The first is the Picanto Chill supermini, which comes with air-conditioning, remote central locking, iPod compatibility and a Cool Blue colour that's exclusive to Chill models.

The car is powered by a 61bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine, which returns 57.6mpg and emits 118g/km of carbon dioxide. Prices for the Picanto Chill start at 6995.

The second special edition is the Rio Chill, which is powered by a 109bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine. It manages 62.8mpg on average and emits 119g/km of CO2.

Alternatively, there's a 96bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine, returning 45.6mpg and emitting 147g/km of CO2.

Standard equipment includes central locking, front electric windows, a rear spoiler and 14-inch alloy wheels. Prices start from 7995.

Special editions for Cee'd, too
The Cee'd small family car range is also extended with two special-edition models.

The three-door Pro_cee'd ZR-7 comes with a 103bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine, averaging 46.3mpg and emitting 145g/km of CO2.

For its asking price of 11,995, you'll get 16-inch alloys, air-conditioning, a metal interior finish, black headlight bezels, remote central locking and one year's free insurance.

The five-door Cee'd SR-7 has a choice of two petrol engines - a 103bhp 1.4 and a 124bhp 1.6. The 1.4 manages an average of 47.2mpg and emits 145g/km of carbon dioxide, while the 1.6 returns 441.mpg and emits 152g/km of CO2.

Its standard equipment includes a six-CD changer, USB socket, 16-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning and front foglights. Prices start from 10,995.
