New 2013 Mazda 6 prices revealed

As the Mazda 6 Tourer was unveiled at the Paris motor show, it was revealed that the range will cost from 19,595.

The new 6 goes on sale in January and comes with a choice of two petrol or two diesel engines. Petrols are a 2.0-litre Skyactiv with either 143 or 163bhp, while diesel buyers can opt for a 2.2-litre Skyactiv with either 148 or 173bhp.

Fitted with the 143bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine the Mazda 6 saloon has a claimed average of 51.5mpg and emita 129g/km of CO2, while the higher-powered petrol is capable of 47.9mpg and 135g/km. The lower-powered diesel's figures are 68.9mpg and 108g/km of CO2, while the 173bhp model manages 62.8mpg and 119g/km of CO2.

There are three trim grades - SE, SE-L and Sport. Nav versions come with TomTom sat-nav and cost 600 more. An automatic gearbox is available on the lower-powered petrol model and both diesels and costs from 1200. The car goes on sale in January.
