The revised Peugeot 407 saloon will cost from 17,295 when it goes on sale in September a rise of 350 over the current entry-level price.
Changes include revised suspension to improve handling and ride, a new front grille and restyled rear bumper, and an upgraded interior in SE and GT models.
A 140bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine has been added to the range. It is slightly more powerful than the 136bhp 2.0-litre diesel unit it replaces, but has improved economy, averaging 49.5mpg and emitting 150g/km of carbon dioxide.
