The Superb Outdoor comes with a choice of three engines, and is available only in estate form with four-wheel drive.
It is based on SE trim, but adds a leather-trimmed steering wheel, 18-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, tinted glass, heated windscreen washer nozzles and front headlight washers. The SE trim comes with air conditioning, chrome roof rails, cruise control, Alcantara upholstery and auto folding mirrors.
The Superb Outdoor gets plastic cladding around the bumpers, sides and wheelarches as added protection. However, the ride height is no higher than that of the standard Superb Estate.
The Outdoor has a choice of two diesel engines, and one petrol. Both diesels are 2.0-litre units, with 138bhp or 168bhp, while the petrol is a 1.8 TSI, 158bhp version.
The petrol and the 168bhp diesel are available with manual gearboxes, while the 138bhp diesel is offered only with a DSG semi-automatic 'box.
All the changes are visual, so dont affect the Superbs economy or emissions. The two diesels emit 166g/km and 165g/km of CO2 respectively, with average economy of 44.8mpg for both. The petrol emits 191g/km of CO2 and does 34.5mpg.
Prices start at 26,465 for the 1.8 petrol, while the 168bhp diesel costs 27,600 and the 138bhp DSG version is the priciest at 28,100.
