Volvo has released a series of teaser shots for the Volvo Concept XC Coupe, which will be revealed in full at the Detroit motor show in January 2014.
The Concept XC Coupe is the second model to be shown that features the company's new Scalable Product Architecture, following on from the Concept Coupe that appeared at the Frankfurt motor show back in September.
The Concept XC Coupe is expected to give a hint at the styling of the new XC90, which is due on sale at the beginning of 2015.
Volvo has said that there will be one more concept car to come on this platform, before the new XC90 is unveiled. The third concept is due to be shown at the Geneva show in March, and is expected to hint at the company's future plans for estate cars.
Volvo has spoken about the versatility of the SPA platform, which will underpin all of its larger models in the future. It will also offer a plug-in hybrid version of the XC90 in due course.
