In the bland old days when Nissan was churning out the Almera and Primera, youd never have dreamed that, one day, it would come up with something like this. The Juke, its new compact crossover model, is even bolder than the Murano and Qashqai maybe a little too bold for some tastes.

Who is it aimed at?
Whereas Mini is upscaling with the Countryman to attract family buyers, Nissan takes a completely different stance with the Juke. This is a planet-friendly alternative to an SUV, although we reckon buyers will see it as a baby Qashqai.

Mini and Nissan may have different marketing plans for these cars, then, but unquestionably they meet in the middle and will be competing for the same buyers. They are similar in size and combine street cred with a suggestion of off-road ability.
