This is the performance flagship of the regular 595 range and comes with a 178bhp version of the 1.4-litre turbo, upgraded suspension, bigger brakes and a rorty exhaust system. Pricey, but easily the most fun version.

The top of the range is the Competizione model, which features a 178bhp version of the 1.4 T-Jet engine. The 0-62mph sprint takes just 6.7sec, and while it can feel like you're waiting for the turbo to kick in at times, the engine pulls strongly once it's into its stride.
