Engine:1.4 TFSI 125
This four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine has plenty of low-rev shove, so it always feels capable of making the A1 go pretty swiftly. It’s resonably refined, albeit with a sporty, gravelly note under hard acceleration. It shouldn’t use much fuel, thanks to cylinder deactivation technology that shuts down two cylinders when cruising. Acceptably low CO2 emissions mean it doesn’t cost much in company car tax, either. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, with a seven-speed automatic available as an option.
