Review

The Audi A1 is a fine car – it's great to drive, comfortable to sit in and is available with lots of big car options. However, if you can live without a posh badge, the Peugeot 208 and VW Polo offer slightly more for less.

Trim: Technik

Even entry-level Technik gets an 8.8in touchscreen that’s positioned high up on the dashboard, so you shouldn’t have trouble seeing or reaching it. Apart from that, though, this trim is a little sparse. It really only gets the essentials, with 15in alloy wheels and manual air-conditioning rather than climate control.

Engine: 25 TFSI

The engine range kicks off with the 25 TFSI, which is a 94bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine. We're yet to try it in the A1 yet, but the more powerful 30 TFSI is our pick of the ranges so far.
