The model
Read full reviewThe Audi A4 Allroad is a really comfortable estate car that comes with pokey engines that are quiet and smooth to match the rest of the car. It's also very well equipped and has great resale values for an estate car, but you have to balance that with it being more expensive than the regular A4 Avant. It's also no more practical, and indeed, if practicality is something you need, there are better options.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentThe entry-level Sport trim is our pick, which includes 18in alloy wheels, the off-road styling pack, leather seats, a powered tailgate, four-way lumbar adjustment, three-zone climate control, heated front seats, privacy glass, power-folding door mirrors, cruise control and keyless entry. And you get numerous other features, such as its 10.1in infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, a DAB radio, two USB-C ports and an eight-speaker stereo, plus LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
The engine
See full engine specsThis is the only option if you don't want a diesel but it's a brilliant engine. It's a 261bhp four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and, although it's not quite as punchy low down as the diesels, it's got more than enough shove to ease you along in any circumstance. It’ll also dispatch 0-62mph in just 5.8sec and it's super smooth when you rev it out, but officially it averages around 34mpg.
