The model
Read full reviewThe A6 is quiet, spacious and an impressive luxury car all round, and will also cost you far less than most rivals. Granted, it’s not the most enjoyable car in the class to drive, but it’s up there with the most comfortable, which is arguably more important.
The trim
See full equipmentEntry-level Sport trim is all you really need, with electric front seats, four-way lumbar adjustment, LED headlights, 18in alloy wheels, leather seat trim, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, ambient LED interior lighting and keyless start. The standard infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sat-nav, Bluetooth, a DAB radio, an 10.1in touchscreen and a punchy 10-speaker stereo.
The engine
See full engine specsThis plug-in hybrid version of the A6 makes a lot of sense as a company car, thanks to its tiny official CO2 emissions. What's more, it can travel for up to 34 miles on fully electric power, and when the petrol engine is needed, it springs into life quite quickly and very smoothly to give 0-62mph in 6.2sec. The brakes are more precise than those of many plug-in hybrids, too, but you will need to plug the car in frequently to get anywhere near its official fuel economy.
