Review

The Audi E-tron is lavish inside, extremely hushed at high speeds and one of the most comfortable large electric cars you can buy. It's more practical than a lot of direct rivals, too. However, the acceleration and range between charges is quite disappointing for the price.

Standard equipment includes heated front seats, part-leather upholstery, two-zone climate control, LED headlights, power-folding door mirrors, a powered tailgate, electrically operated and heated front seats with four-way lumbar adjustment, keyless go, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, air suspension, a 10.1in infotainment touchscreen, 10 speakers, plus there are charging points on both sides of the car so you never have to drag cables over the top of it.

It certainly isn't slow; it has 309bhp and can do 0-62mph in 6.8sec. It's just that all of the E-tron's main rivals offer much faster acceleration when you put your foot down and obliterate its 198-mile official battery range.
