Our favourite trim because, for a reasonable premium over SE, you get 17in wheels, sat-nav, automatic lights and wipers and cruise control. It looks jazzier as well, thanks to contrasting paint on the exterior of the rear pillars.
This four-cylinder petrol with 148bhp is our pick of the range. It pulls well without the need to work the engine hard and offers relaxed motorway cruising. It comes with a slick six-speed manual gearbox or a smooth seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Thanks to the ability to run on two cylinders when cruising, it offers decent emissions and fuel economy. It sounds a bit gravelly at high revs, but never coarse.
