There's also a wide range of engines to choose from, including three petrols: the 148bhp 35 TFSI, the 187bhp 40 TFSI and the 227bhp 45 TFSI. These are complemented by 148bhp 35 TDI and 187bhp 40 TDI diesels and a 242bhp plug-in hybrid called the 45 TFSIe.
Trims, meanwhile, include entry-level Sport, better-equipped Technik, sportier looking Black Edition and S line, and range-topping Vorsprung.
Over the next few pages of this review, we'll tell you how the Audi Q3 stacks up against the rivals we've mentioned (and others besides), plus we'll also reveal which of the engines, trims and optional extras make the most sense.
