The Audi Q4 e-tron is temptingly priced for a premium-badged electric SUV, plus it’s a very comfortable, practical and classy choice. If you’re not so worried about the emblem on the nose of your car, we’d urge you to look at the Skoda Enyaq as well, because it’s similar in a lot of respects. However, the Q4 does feel like the more expensive car it is, particularly in terms of infotainment and interior finish.

If you upgrade from Sport to S line trim, the 19in alloy wheels are swapped for 20in items, and you get sports suspension, which lowers the car's ride height by 15mm. You also gain rear privacy glass, sports front seats and ambient interior lighting.
The engineSee full engine specs
This is the only Q4 e-tron at the moment that gets four-wheel drive for added traction in slippery conditions. It's quicker than the 40 version (6.2sec from 0-62mph compared with 8.5sec), but the instant accelerator response of the less expensive 40 makes the extra performance of the 50, and the fact it isn’t as quick as some rivals makes it seem superfluous. Plus the 50 won’t go as far due to the added weight of its four-wheel drive system.
