Our favourite trim brings more aggressive styling over Sport, including chunkier bumpers and side skirts. Equipment upgrades include 20in alloy wheels, privacy glass, rear climate control, LED headlights and sports seats. It also gets the impressive adaptive air-suspension as standard which transforms the Q7 into not only the best-riding car in its class but also one of the best in any class or budget, period.
Engine:50 TDI Quattro
The 278bhp unit in the 50 TDI isn’t that much more expensive then the 45 TDI and is much punchier, particularly at low revs. Acceleration builds strongly from just 1500rpm, making the Q7 effortless to drive briskly. Around town, you barely need to brush the accelerator pedal - although the lag from the gearbox is much more noticeable with this engine set-up.
