The SQ8 is based on a large SUV platform, so as you might expect, upfront there's loads of head and leg room and a generously wide interior. And despite its coupé look we’re happy to report there’s ample space for two six-footers in the back, too — just not quite as much as there is in an X5 or Cayenne.
You can adjust the rear seatback angle for either greater passenger comfort or increased boot space, and there are plenty of interior cubbies and storage areas for your gadgets — front and rear.
Filling the SQ8’s ample boot with luggage is easy. A hands-free electric tailgate comes as standard and the luggage area is square and generously provisioned with tie-down hooks. This is still a practical SUV, then, although like the Cayenne, not one with the option of seven seats. If you need a seven seater then go for the X5 M50d instead.
