This is our favourite trim. You get air-conditioning, Alcantara and leather seats, xenon headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, a USB socket and a DAB radio. However, you’ll probably want to pay extra for rear parking sensors, climate control and the Technology pack, which includes sat-nav.
Engine:2.0 TDI Quattro
The diesel is the slowest model in the range, but it’s still effortlessly brisk. The engine is a bit grumbly and un-sports car-like, but it provides serious overtaking shove and has low CO2 emissions. It’s available only with a manual gearbox.
