The model
Read full reviewThe Audi TT is great to drive and easy to live with, as shown by its seriously impressive What Car? Awards track record. We reckon the cheaper versions (in particular the 40 TFSI Sport) make the most sense, though.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentWe’d go for entry-level Sport trim, which gets you air-conditioning, faux suede and leather seats, 18in alloy wheels, power-folding door mirrors, keyless start, cruise control, heated front seats, a 12.3in digital display (Virtual Cockpit), an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, xenon headlights, a front armrest and automatic lights and wipers. If you want climate control add the Plus Pack, which also comes with privacy glass.
The engine
See full engine specsProduces 194bhp and pulls strongly from low revs, with more than enough mid-range grunt for quick overtakes. 0-62mph takes 6.6 seconds – fast enough to worry small hot hatches such as the Ford Fiesta ST. Comes as standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and it's our pick of the range.
